Artworks in Public Space - Walking Tour

Join us for a walking tour of artworks in the grounds of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University and university dormitories in the Libeň district.

We will explore the ceramic works of H. Samohelová, D. Mírová and M. Rychlíková, as well as sculptures by M. Chlupáč, V. Frydecký, O. Zoubek and S. Kolíbal. We will also discuss the collaboration between architects and artists before 1989 and how artistic projects are funded in Prague today.

The tour is led by Helena Macháčková, editor of the map "Libeň - Urban Quarter and Its Artworks", published this year by Divadlo Kámen in cooperation with Prague 8. The map will be available on site.

Meeting point: 16:30 at bus stop no. 187 Pelc Tyrolka.
