Tony

At nineteen, Tony dreams of becoming a writer but has no idea where life will take him. When his application for a coveted writing fellowship is rejected, Anthony Bourdain arrives in Provincetown, Massachusetts, a coastal town. Instead of pursuing a literary career, he takes a summer job at a seafood restaurant and enters the world of professional cooking for the first time.

Behind the kitchen doors lies an environment full of noise, tension, sharp humor, and physical labor, populated by distinctive personalities. The kitchen has its own rules, its own rhythm, and a tight-knit community of people who provoke, support, and look out for each other.

For a restless young man still searching for his place, this environment becomes a space of profound personal transformation.
