Balkan Night: Fanfare Ciocărlia + Džambo Aguševi Orchestra + Malalata

Friday evening will be dedicated to Balkan music — the festival returns to the courtyard of Špilberk Castle after a two-year break.

The headline act is the Romanian brass band Fanfare Ciocărlia, one of Europe's most popular contemporary Romani music ensembles. Next comes the Macedonian band Džambo Aguševi Orchestra, which blends traditional Balkan, Romani, and Turkish music with influences from swing, jazz, pop, and film music.

The programme is completed by Slovak DJs Malalata, who combine Balkan beats, Gypsy music, cumbia, and reggae in their sets.
