Rivermoans

Visual artist Marie Tučková turned her long-standing work with sound into music, performing under the name Rivermoans. She is the 2020 laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize and a recent Vinyl Award winner. On her debut EP Wet Scores for Listening (2025), she sings about rivers, motherhood, and political interference in women's reproductive rights, drawing inspiration from the mystic Hildegard of Bingen and composer Pauline Oliveros's concept of deep listening.

Her music moves between ambient and folk, fragile and full of imagination. Rivermoans takes listeners on a voyage that is not always calm.

Jan Běťák

Jan Běťák writes about flowers and ecological crisis. Into his gentle, lyrical folk he weaves echoes of alternative and jazz, with nature motifs playing a crucial role in his work. He was a member of the band Bezobratři and now performs with Lilium Liste, having moved from interpreting folk songs to his own compositions.

In 2023 he released his solo debut Napodobování písma. On his most recent album Jazykem květin, melancholic songs saturated with anxiety about the planet's future resound - the recording won an Anděl Award in the Folk category, which Jan Běťák received as a trio with his band.
