A week before municipal elections, the Novinky.cz news portal hosts a debate of Prague's leaders. At the Royal Theatre in the Vinohrady district, eight candidates will discuss before an audience: Petr Hlaváček (STAN), Jan Hušbauer (ANO), Tomáš Portlík (Spolu), Tereza Nislerová (Piráti), Adam Scheinherr (Praha sobě and Christian Democrats), Klára Sovová (Motoristé), Václav Láska (SEN21), and Milan Urban (SPD).

The debate is moderated by Eva Mikulecká and Michael Rozsypal. It starts at 18:00 and runs for approximately two hours.

About the venue: ROYAL - Theatre & Club Chic Praha

Royal Theatre occupies the Maceška Palace on Vinohradská street, where Emanuel Maceška opened Prague's largest and most modern cinema in 1929. After decades of communist-era confiscation and eventual restitution to the family, Frenchman Jean-Christophe Gramont took over the space, carefully renovated it, and opened it in July 2014 as a multipurpose cultural venue. Original stained-glass windows, cut-glass lights and period details were preserved, giving the hall a distinct First Republic feel. Today the programme ranges from theatre and film screenings to concerts, cabaret and Prague Burlesque shows.
