Ivan Uryvskyj is a prominent figure in contemporary Ukrainian theatre. A director who has continued to create in Ukraine despite the war, he addresses political, social, and historical themes in his productions. As a member of the generation that grew up in the 1990s, he is also a child of Ukraine's independence period - a generation for whom freedom became a fundamental experience and value.
