Káznice Tour

The former regional prison on Brno's Cejl has a history stretching back to the late 18th century. Originally built outside the city walls, it now stands in the heart of the city - yet few realize that executions of political opponents of both Nazi and Communist regimes took place here well into the 20th century.

Guided tours (60 minutes) explore the stories of prisoners and guards, daily life behind prison walls, and the broader political and social contexts reflected in Káznice's history.
