Miroslav Dvorský and Zlaté husle

The concert tour MIROSLAV DVORSKÝ AND ZLATÉ HUSLE brings together two established names on the Slovak and international music scene. The programme focuses on world-renowned compositions - for example, J. Brahms: Hungarian Dance No. 1, L. Bernstein: West Side Story - Maria, C. Velazquez: Besame Mucho, A. Lara: Granada, A. Khachaturian: Sabre Dance and others.

Tenor Miroslav Dvorský studied at the State Conservatory and Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and at Studio Perfezionamento La Scala Milano. Since 1986 he has worked as a soloist at the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava and the Vienna State Opera; he regularly performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Teatro alla Scala Milano, Opéra National de Paris, Canadian Opera Toronto, New National Theatre Tokyo, Deutsche Oper Berlin and other houses.

The Zlaté husle orchestra was founded in 2004 by concertmaster and artistic director Martin Sleziak. The orchestra's repertoire includes arrangements of classical music, opera arias, operetta and musical theatre melodies, as well as compositions based on Slovak, Moravian, Romani and other European folk songs. During its existence, the orchestra has recorded 11 CDs, serves as the resident orchestra of the Lúčnica artistic ensemble and has performed in more than 30 countries worldwide - in the USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others.
