Zdeněk Tománek

Zdeněk Tománek (born 1958) is a Czech sculptor, painter and teacher from Uherské Hradiště. He studied stone sculpture at the arts and crafts school there, then monumental sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, and later at the Akademie der schöne Künste in Berlin. His work spans sculpture, painting and architectural installations, and is held in collections including the National Gallery Prague and institutions in Finland and Poland. Since 1990 he has headed the stone-sculpture programme at the arts school in Uherské Hradiště.
