Zdeněk Galuška (1913-?) was a barber, painter, illustrator and folk storyteller from Uherský Ostroh in the Moravian Slovácko region who became a writer almost by chance. His humorous short stories from village life appeared first as Slovácko sa súdí (1947) and then as Slovácko sa nesúdí (1972), both written in vivid local dialect. The stories from the second book were later adapted into a popular Czech TV series (1975, 1984).
