Weljar is a Polish folk-ambient project inspired by pre-Slavic times and shamanism, formed out of a longing for closeness to nature and its primal force. The five-piece band creates melancholic music on the border of folk and ambient, drawing lyrics from Slavic mythology, legends and ritual. They perform at pagan and folk festivals across Europe, and in 2024 played the final edition of the legendary Lithuanian festival Mėnuo Juodaragis.
Weljar was confirmed as a performer at the Lithuanian festival Kilkim Žaibu XXVI, which takes place June 25-27, 2026 in Ukmergė.
Weljar performed two concerts in the Czech Republic in December 2024 - in Prague and Brno.
Weljar launched the Polish spring tour 'Breath of the Forest' 2025 with stops in Szczecin, Wrocław, Warsaw, Katowice, Kraków, Gdańsk, Toruń, Elbląg, and Poznań.
Weljar performed at the final edition of the Lithuanian festival Mėnuo Juodaragis XXIV in August 2024.
Weljar released his debut album 'Tur' with ten tracks on September 23, 2023.
