Antología
Reduta Jazz Club, Prague
Antología is a selection of eight scenes from the work of Black Light Theatre Srnec since its founding in 1961 – including pieces such as "The Flying Bicycle", "Those Are Things", "White Pierrot in Black" and "Week of Dreams".
This non-verbal show combines clever humor, dance and black light theatre art. Audiences will discover what their underwear does when they're not looking, why street lamps can be humanity's greatest enemy, and why animals are smarter than people think.
Antología (a name borrowed from Greek, where it denoted a selection of the finest poems) is among the ensemble's most beloved productions. The company has performed it before a sold-out square in the Italian town of Campobasso in front of 15,000 spectators, in Nicaragua and El Salvador the show was attended by the respective presidents, and in 2002 four of the scenes represented the Czech Republic at the NATO summit in Prague.
The Reduta theatre stage is not wheelchair accessible.
