A concert by renowned French conductor and composer Vladimir Cosma at Prague's Municipal House.
Vladimir Cosma (born 13 April 1940 in Bucharest) is a Romanian-born composer, conductor and violinist who has built his career in France since 1963. He has scored more than four hundred films and TV productions, working with directors such as Yves Robert, Francis Veber and Jean-Jacques Beineix. His two César Awards - for Diva (1981) and Le Bal (1983) - cemented his reputation as one of the defining voices of French cinema music.
Cosma will perform on June 21, 2026 at the Prague Proms festival in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House, where he will conduct the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
In December 2025, Cosma conducted two sold-out concerts at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, where he led 120 musicians, soloists and choir.
The Paris press called the December concerts historic events of the season and emphasized that Cosma personally conducted the entire two-and-a-half-hour program.
