Hans Zimmer (born 1957 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German film composer and music producer whose work spans more than 150 films over four decades, blending dense orchestral writing with electronic textures. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score - for The Lion King (1995) and Dune (2022) - along with five Grammy Awards, three Golden Globes and a BAFTA, totalling over 58 wins from 213 nominations. Beyond the studio, he has built a parallel career as a live touring artist, regularly selling out arenas worldwide.
