Trať 2026
The seventh edition of the nomadic Trať festival combines contemporary art with forgotten railway architecture. This year it takes place in Hradec Králové with music, theatre, visual art, and dance.
Vic Bang is the alias of Buenos Aires composer and sound artist Victoria Barca, active in experimental electronic music since 2006. She builds compositions from field recordings, FM synthesis and everyday acoustic material - bird calls, city noise, snatched conversations - processed into tightly sculpted sound works. Her albums Lira (2020) and Burung (2022) appeared on Kit Records; her 2026 record Oda, released on Mondoj, was reviewed by The Quietus as a refined culmination of her decade of experimentation. She has performed at Mutek, Hyperlocal Festival and Vrooom (Rotterdam), and is part of the British Council's Amplify initiative connecting women artists worldwide.
The album Oda (Mondoj) was released on February 27, 2026 on white vinyl; critics received it as the pinnacle of Barca's work to date.
The Quietus published a review of the album Oda on February 25, 2026 and called Barca an Argentine artist who creates "sinuous ode to small things".
The Public Pressure website published an interview with Vic Bang about preserving the human approach in the age of AI-generated music.
The album Burung was released on April 29, 2022 on the Moon Glyph label; it was described as "precise, beautiful computer music crafted with the fallible human touch".
