About

VHS (full name Volné hudební sdružení, meaning Free Music Association) is a Czech punk-rock band from Jilemnice in the Krkonoše region, formed in 2005 by high-school classmates Adam Vitásek, Milan Rychtr and Petr Nevečeřal. Over two decades the band played hundreds of shows across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, releasing three studio albums, the last of which - Dobro a zlo - came out in 2025. Frontman Adam Vitásek died on the night of 27-28 April 2026, aged 39; the remaining members announced the band's end the same day.
