Master is an American death metal band founded in Chicago in 1983 by bassist and vocalist Paul Speckmann, often cited as one of the earliest death metal acts in existence. Despite lineup changes and hiatuses over the decades, Speckmann has kept the band active - and has long been based in the Czech Republic.
