Caricaturist and folk singer-songwriter Mirek Kemel performs with Vlastimil Konopiskij and Tomáš Görtler. A concert featuring conversations in gentle folk-rock style.
Tomáš Görtler is a Czech accordionist and keyboard player working across folk, world music and chanson. He studied accordion at the Prague Conservatory and music education at the University of West Bohemia. He is a long-standing member of singer-songwriter Mirek Kemel's band and of Bran, a Czech ensemble specialising in Breton and Celtic music, and also performs with the Prague-based Latin folk group Iván Gutiérrez & Madera.
The band Bran, of which Görtler is a member, launched a tour in February 2026 to celebrate the release of their new album Galette complète - the first stop was Prague (Malostranská beseda), followed by Brno, Vsetín and Havlíčkův Brod.
Görtler accompanied Mirka Kemel on accordion at a concert in the Art Gallery of Karlovy Vary as part of the tour for the album Mordyjé.
The fifth album by Mirka Kemel, Mordyjé, was released (October 25, 2024, Indies Scope), on which Görtler played accordion, percussion and piano and also contributed to the composition of one piece; the album won the Anděl Award 2024 in the Folk category.
The release party for the album Mordyjé took place on November 27, 2024 at the Palác Akropolis in Prague.
