The People are a thirteen-piece band from Brno built around an unusually large brass section - trumpets, trombones and saxophones alongside rhythm and two vocalists. Most members studied at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and several also perform at Brno's National or Municipal Theatre. Their repertoire spans pop, swing and hard rock, all in original arrangements, and alongside cover versions they perform their own compositions and a dedicated Czech-song programme honouring Karel Gott and his contemporaries.
The band performed at the Groove Brno 2025 festival at the Brno Dam alongside Candy Dulfer, Dirty Loops and Cory Wong.
The People are included in the festival program at Masaryk Square in Nový Jičín.
