About

Silent Stream of Godless Elegy (SSOGE) is a Moravian folk metal band founded in Hranice in 1995, now based in Ostrava. Their sound weaves doom metal together with Moravian folk traditions - violin, cello and dulcimer are at its core. They won the Czech Anděl award twice in the hard & heavy category (for Themes in 2000 and Relic Dances in 2005), and released Návaz (2011) on the French label Season of Mist, produced by Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween). January 2024 brought their first fully acoustic album, Jiná.
