S.P.S. (Snížená pracovní schopnost - 'Reduced Work Capacity') is a Prague punk band founded in September 1988 by former members of the group Defekt. One of the longest-running acts on the Czech punk scene, the band draws on classic punk influences - Clash, Dead Kennedys, Exploited - while writing politically engaged lyrics about Czech domestic affairs. Founding vocalist and guitarist Zdeněk Růžička is the only original member; the band has logged over 1,500 live shows, including a US tour and dates across Western Europe.
S.P.S. and The Fialky are embarking on a joint tour God Save The Punk Tour II. 2026, which will visit Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Plzen, Kolin, Litomysle, Pisek, Ceske Budejovice, Valasske Klobouky, Mlada Boleslav and Kralupy nad Vltavou.
During 2025, the band performed Punk & Film Turné - 12 special concerts combined with screenings of a documentary filmed in 2023-2024.
S.P.S. and The Fialky performed two sold-out shows in October 2024 at Prague's Rock Café as part of God Save The Punk Tour 2024.
Since September 2023, S.P.S. has been performing in the current lineup: Zdeněk Růžička (Krkavec) - vocals and guitar, Petr Čepelák - guitar, Jan Sklenář (Skleník) - bass guitar and vocals, Marek Vácha - drums.
