About

Peshata is a Czech punk-rock band from Tábor, active since spring 1997. What started as a one-off joke project - record a demo, then split - turned into a long-running band after an unexpectedly warm reception. Their self-coined genre is 'zoopunk': melodic punk rock with brass arrangements and humorous lyrics about animals. They have seven studio albums to their name, including Hra na doktora (2006) and Anarchy in the ZOO (2015).
