Placebo
British alternative rock band Placebo performs in Prague.
Placebo are a British alternative rock duo formed in London in 1994 by vocalist-guitarist Brian Molko and bassist-guitarist Stefan Olsdal. From the start they set themselves apart with an androgynous image and unflinchingly candid lyrics about sexuality, mental health and addiction - a stance that earned them a devoted global following. Across thirty years they have released eight studio albums and sold over ten million copies worldwide, from their breakthrough 1996 debut through the international hit Without You I'm Nothing (1998) to Never Let Me Go (2022).
Placebo released on June 19, 2026 the album Placebo RE:CREATED - a reworked version of their 1996 debut album, compiled from original master recordings.
The band announced a 36-date anniversary tour across Europe and Great Britain, starting in September 2026 in Porto and including a stop in Prague (November 15).
Placebo performed on March 28, 2026 at London's Royal Albert Hall at the Teenage Cancer Trust charity series alongside the band Garbage - at the invitation of Robert Smith from The Cure.
In March 2022, Placebo released their eighth studio album Never Let Me Go, followed by an extensive tour across Europe, Great Britain, and the USA lasting until 2024.
