About
Sixtus Preiss is a Vienna-based drummer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who started out on classical piano before studying drums with Howard Curtis and Walter Grassmann. He made his debut in 2011 on the Loud Minority 7-inch series and signed to Affine Records the same year. His music moves between jazz, beat-driven electronics and dense synth layers; alongside his studio work he hand-builds microphones and amplifiers under the Preisselektronik name. He is a member of the Jazzwerkstatt Wien collective.
