About

SHIVERS is a Czech folk band from the South Bohemian towns of Volyně and Strakonice, playing since 2001. They specialise in traditional Celtic music - Irish, Breton and Scottish - alongside original compositions in the same vein, performed on an unusually wide range of instruments including bodhrán, bouzouki, Irish flutes, violin, bombard and Czech bagpipes. Their self-described motto is 'Celtic folk in Czech hands', and they rank among the leading Czech acts in the genre.
