Severští bardové

About

Severští bardové are a Brno-based folk band playing historicising medieval music. Their sound centres on medieval bagpipes paired with guitar or mandolin and a wooden drum, producing raw, lively melodies that evoke old-time village celebrations. The band performs both acoustically and amplified, making them a regular fixture at markets, fairs and pub stages.

The band performed at the BEZDfest festival in Brno in the Robotárny space in Káznica (September 13, 2025).

The Northern bards were included in the program of Brno Christmas 2024, which TIC Brno organized in the year when Brno was chosen as the European Capital of Christmas.
