About

René Gavlas is a Moravian drummer, percussionist and music therapist born in 1976 in Frýdek-Místek. He trained in percussion at a ZUŠ and the Lidová konzervatoř, and later completed a university degree in psychology with a thesis on active music therapy. Alongside his own band ReneG, he works in improvised and contemporary performance, connecting rhythm with movement.
