Přemysl Pitter
About
Přemysl Pitter (1895–1976) was a Czech humanist, educator, pacifist and social worker. He became known for his work with children from poor families in Prague's Žižkov district and, after World War II, for organising the so-called "Castle Action", in which he cared for children from concentration and internment camps regardless of their ethnic origin.
