Prague Cello Quartet (PCQ) is a Czech ensemble founded in 2006 by cellist Jan Zvěřina, who gave the group its debut at Prague's Žofín Palace. The four classically trained musicians - three cellists and a double bassist - perform their own arrangements spanning film scores, musicals, rock hits and classical repertoire. They have toured across Europe, Asia and South America, and their videos have accumulated tens of millions of online views.
The album START was released on streaming platforms on January 13, 2025 and contains 15 tracks including arrangements from the musicals Moulin Rouge, Les Misérables and Jesus Christ Superstar.
PCQ is performing a tour of 29 stops, which started in November 2025 in Decin and will last until August 2026.
After personnel changes, the ensemble resumed regular concert activities in a new lineup, in which one cello was replaced by a double bass.
