Bauer Villa in Libodřice – Guided Tour
A guided tour of a 1912 Cubist villa featuring an exhibition of furniture and applied arts by leading Czech Cubist designers.
Pavel Janák (1882–1956) was a Czech architect, urban planner, designer, and theoretician whose work spanned Modernism, Cubism, Rondocubism, and Functionalism. He studied under Otto Wagner in Vienna and Jan Kotěra in Prague. His most notable works include the Adria Palace in Prague, the Pardubice crematorium, and the functionalist Baba housing estate. From 1936 he served as architect of Prague Castle.
