Orkiestra Św. Mikołaja is a Polish folk band from Lublin, founded in 1988. They were among the first groups to build their repertoire around Slavic tradition - drawing mainly on Polish, Lemko and Hutsul folk music - and are known for acoustic sound, white-voice singing, and instruments like the nyckelharpa and cymbalom. In 2005 they became the first and, to date, only folk ensemble to receive the prestigious Oskar Kolberg Honorary Award for popularising folk culture.
