Zbořilovy Milotice - 10th Edition
The tenth edition of a wind band showcase held in the courtyard of a Baroque castle. Four ensembles, including the organizing Mistříňanka, perform in an accessible, welcoming setting.
Mistříňanka is a Moravian brass band founded in 1967 by bandleader Antonín Pavluš, originally in Milotice and soon based in Svatobořice-Mistřín in the South Moravian Hodonín region. Over more than five decades the ensemble has given over 4,000 performances across Europe and the USA, winning the Czechoslovak brass-band competition Zlatá křídlovka in 1975 and taking first place at the World Brass Band Championship in Hettlingen, Switzerland in 1993. Today the band is led by artistic director František Pavluš Jr. and fields 14 musicians alongside four vocalists.
Mistříňanka performed at the Zbořilovy Milotice 2025 festival in the courtyard of Milotice State Castle.
