Michal Hrůza (born 1971 in Turnov) is a Czech singer, guitarist and songwriter who has led his own band, Kapela Hrůzy, since going solo in 2006. Before that he spent a decade as frontman of Ready Kirken, writing more than fifty songs for the group. His lyrics blend wit with poetry, and many of his tracks have appeared on Czech film and TV soundtracks, including the series Slunečná. He won the Anděl Award for Male Singer of the Year in 2014.
Hrůza released a new album Kouzlo samoty, which musicserver.cz called an exceeding of expectations.
In April 2025, the single N.Y.C. was released, inspired by Hrůza's visit to New York and the melancholic atmosphere of the city.
In March 2026, Hrůza performed a concert at the Prague Lucerna Music Bar as part of the JARO Tour.
JARO Tour 2026 continues with stops in Pardubicích, Mostě, Brně, Frýdku-Místku, and Olomouci.
In July 2024, he released the single Hodiny and in summer performed a sold-out concert at the Prague Občanské plovárně.
