Michal Olšiak is a Czech sculptor from Žďár nad Sázavou, specialising in sand sculpture. He is the founder and driving force behind the annual Písečný svět (Sand World) exhibition in Lednice, Moravia, which he first organised over a decade ago. Each year the show brings together sculptors from across Europe to create large-scale works made solely from sea sand and water.
