Michal Hrůza & Kapela Hrůzy
Singer and composer Michal Hrůza has been active on the Czech music scene for over thirty years. He began his musical career at a military secondary school and founded the band Ready Kirken in 1996, with which he recorded five albums and wrote over fifty songs. After leaving the band in 2006, he founded Kapela Hrůzy.
With Kapela Hrůzy, he released the albums "Bílá velryba" (2007), "Napořád" (2009), "Noc" (2012), "Sám sebou" (2017), and "Světlo do tmy" (2020). His composition "Voda živá" for Aneta Langerová was a hit in 2005 and 2006.
He also contributed music to the films "Lidice" (2011), "Martin a Venuše" (2012), "Zakázané uvolnění" (2014), "Padesátka" (2015), "Pohádky pro Emu" (2016), "Špunti na vodě" (2017), and "Někdo to rád v Plzni" (2025). He is the composer of theme songs for television programmes, including the series "Vyprávěj" and "Mazalové", and performed a cover of "Píseň kovbojská" as the theme for the series "Slunečná" (2020).
