Michael Tarant

About

Michael Tarant (born 1953, Prague) is a Czech theatre director with over four decades of experience. After studying at the Prague State Conservatory he started as an assistant director at the National Theatre, then went on to lead drama companies in Pardubice, Ostrava, Hradec Králové, Kladno and Olomouc. He has directed more than 200 productions, spanning both drama and opera. He has also worked abroad, in Poland, Lithuania, Germany and Sweden.

Kytice - Metropolitan Theatre Prague

The Metropolitan Theatre Prague presents its adaptation of Erben's classic Kytice, featuring the ballads The Water Sprite, The Noonday Witch and The Wedding Shirt, directed by Michael Tarant. The performance takes place in the open-air amphitheatre of Forest Theatre Skalka.
