About

Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers is a Prague-based big band founded in 1995 by actor, singer and tap dancer Ondřej Havelka after he left the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra. The fifteen-piece ensemble focuses on authentic renditions of 1920s-30s jazz and swing, using period instruments and historically informed arrangements. Over three decades the band has become one of the most enduring European big bands in the genre, regularly selling out venues across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
