Martina Preissová is a Czech stage, television and film actress who has been a permanent member of the National Theatre drama ensemble in Prague since 2000. She trained at JAMU in Brno and received her first Thália Award nomination in 1999 for her role in Dürrenmatt's King John at the Brno National Theatre. Audiences know her from TV series such as Slunečná, Kamarádi and Anatomie života; alongside acting she teaches at DAMU and has published three books of prose.

    In an interview for Czech Radio (March 3, 2026), Preissová summed up a quarter century on the stage of the National Theatre and spoke about her third book Tvá M.

    In November 2025, her third book Tvá M. was published - a collection of fictional letters addressed to her deceased father, published by nastole.

    In June 2024, the premiere of the production Krásný nový den took place, in which Preissová performs at the National Theatre.

    In October 2023, Preissová participated in the world premiere of the play Cherry Man by Ivan Vyrypaev at the Stavovský Theatre, where the production ran until October 2025.
