Square Root of a Woman - Czech Premiere

A theatrical production that begins as a standard parent-teacher meeting but quickly descends into a funny, devastating, and raw confrontation between two women. On one side stands Marie, a working mother fighting to save her family; on the other, Tereza, a young teacher in love with Marie's husband. Their conversation oscillates between hysterical anger, sadness, and dark humor - revealing not only the details of the affair, but also the deeply rooted frustrations of both women: lack of recognition, loneliness, lost dreams. It is not just about a love triangle, but a clash of two worlds and two forms of pain.

The play was written by young Canadian playwright Jordi Mand; since its premiere in Toronto in 2012, it has received consistent acclaim. In the Czech premiere, Martina Preissová and Pavla Gajdošíková perform, with direction by Tomáš Mašín.
