Soul Repair: Martina Preissová and Dáša Zázvůrková

An original show by Martina Preissová and Dáša Zázvůrková combines readings from books, duets, feuilletons, stand-up, and solo chansons — all from their shared creative workshop. Martina Preissová will read stories from her books "How I Was Not at the Lions" and "Do They Have Glasses in Heaven?", while Dáša Zázvůrková complements the programme with songs. The audience will also hear compositions written jointly by both protagonists.

Martina Preissová is a theatre, television, and film actress, and since 2000 a permanent member of the drama ensemble of the National Theatre in Prague. She has been nominated twice for the Thalia Prize (1999, 2004). Television audiences know her from the series Hospital at the Edge of the City, Anatomy of Life, Sunny Days, and Friends, and from the films I'll Wake Up Yesterday, Mothers, and others. In 2021, she published a collection of stories How I Was Not at the Lions and Other Tales, followed by a story novel Do They Have Glasses in Heaven?.

Dáša Zázvůrková is a singer and actress. She studied non-verbal and comedy theatre at HAMU under Boris Hybner and Italian studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. From 2003 to 2014, she was an external member of the SEMAFOR theatre, and in 2007 she played the role of Vanilla in the jazz opera Well-Paid Walk at the National Theatre. She is known from the production Can We Even With a Man and from the project Tribute to Hana Hegerová.
