About

Epydemye is a South Bohemian folk and folk-rock band founded in 2005 in Týn nad Vltavou around singer-songwriter Jan Přeslička. Over twenty years the group has released six studio albums and built a reputation for energetic live shows and socially engaged Czech-language lyrics. Their 2015 concept album Kotlina, dedicated to figures from 20th-century Czechoslovak history, won the Anděl genre award and was named Album of the Year by Radio Proglas. In 2025 they marked their anniversary with the sixth album Dosebe, turning inward with more personal, autobiographical songwriting.
