Luboš Soukup is a Czech jazz saxophonist, clarinettist and composer who has been based in Copenhagen since 2010. He trained at three European conservatories - in Prague, Katowice and Copenhagen - and leads several projects, most notably the Luboš Soukup Quartet. His album Země (2017), recorded with a Danish ensemble and guest guitarist Lionel Loueke, was voted best Czech jazz album of the year by Czech Radio. He also teaches at HAMU in Prague and received the Danish Music Federation's Discovery of the Year award.
