Trumpeter Laco Déczi brings his New York Celula ensemble to Prague's Jazz Dock on Saturday, 16 May 2026. This is one of five Czech dates on his tour, which also includes stops in Plzeň, Uherský Brod, and Brno. Jazz Dock sits on the Vltava riverbank in Smíchov and has hosted regular concerts of jazz, funk, soul, and blues since 2009, alongside its own festival programming. Tickets start at 400 CZK.

About the venue: Jazz Dock

Jazz Dock is a design jazz club opened in 2009 on the banks of the Vltava river in Prague's Smíchov district, opposite Children's Island. It regularly hosts concerts of jazz, funk, soul, blues and world music, as well as its own festivals. The interior was designed by architects Ivan Sládek and Jaroslav Ourecký; a rooftop terrace is open in summer. The venue also includes a bar and restaurant.

About: Laco Déczi

Slovak-born Laco Déczi is one of Central Europe's longest-active jazz trumpeters, with more than six decades on stage. Touring with his New York band Celula, he brings a blend of hard bop and electric fusion that he first honed in Prague's clubs of the 1960s and has kept refining ever since.
