About

Lamp of Murmuur is an American black metal project from Los Angeles, the sole work of a musician known only as M. Since its first demos in 2019, the project has carved out a singular place in the underground by weaving raw black metal together with gothic, melodic, and post-punk influences - retaining a devoted following through each stylistic shift. Four full-length albums, the latest being The Dreaming Prince in Ecstasy (November 2025, Wolves of Hades), have established M. as one of the most compelling creative forces in contemporary black metal.
