Kryštof Marek (born 21 July 1967, Prague) is a Czech conductor, composer, lyricist, arranger and jazz pianist. He works regularly at the Karlín Musical Theatre and Studio DVA, guests with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and is a fixture at the Prague Proms festival. He wrote the music and lyrics for the theatrical projects The Little Prince, A Christmas Carol and Little Girl - A Christmas Story; in 2017 he shared the Czech Lion award for best film music for Masaryk (with Michal Lorenc). His catalogue spans two violin concertos, a piano concerto, a harp concerto and more than forty radio dramatizations for Czech Radio.
Kryštof Marek prepared the chamber musical The Last Five Years at the Hybernia theatre, which premiered on January 17, 2026.
The concert The Little Prince with Jan Cina continues its tour across the Czech Republic; in February 2026, it was performed, for example, in the Sukov Hall in Pardubice with the Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic.
Marek composed the required piece Three Prague Images for the Prague Spring 2024 competition in the French horn category.
His composition Double Heart / Dvojité srdce for two cellos and orchestra premiered in Mariánské Lázně with the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra.
The FOK Symphony Orchestra performed the premiere of Marek's composition Memories for French horn and orchestra at the Municipal House; the soloist was Zuzana Rzounková.
