About

Kraftwerk are a German electronic music group founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. Albums such as Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express and The Man-Machine laid the groundwork for synth-pop, techno and virtually all modern electronic music. Their live shows - built around 3D projections and robotic aesthetics - are considered landmark audiovisual events. In 2021 they became the first purely electronic act inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
