CAMOUFLAGE
German synth-pop band Camouflage brings their distinctive sound to Brno. A concert at Sono Centrum showcasing the classics of the genre.
Camouflage is a German synth-pop trio from Bietigheim-Bissingen, consisting of Marcus Meyn (vocals), Heiko Maile (keyboards, production) and Oliver Kreyssig (keyboards). Founded in 1983 as Licensed Technology, they renamed themselves after a Yellow Magic Orchestra track. Their debut single The Great Commandment (1987) topped the US Billboard Dance Chart and broke the top ten in over twenty countries, turning the band into an international synth-pop act overnight. Eight studio albums and four decades later, they remain one of the most influential names in European electronic pop.
On German Record Store Day (April 18, 2026), Camouflage released a limited 10" single Stranger's Thoughts in an edition of 1,000 copies, newly remastered from the original tapes.
Camouflage confirmed two performances in the Czech Republic in September 2026 - September 4 at Prague's Ox Club and September 5 at Brno's Sono Music Club.
Camouflage will perform as headliner of the SHELTER festival in Eggebek (Germany) on July 17, 2026 with a ninety-minute program.
For the 30th anniversary of the album Spice Crackers, Camouflage released its first vinyl edition - as a 2LP gatefold and a limited 4LP box set (500 copies), remastered from the original tapes.
The compilation Rewind To The Future And Goodbye, released for the band's 40th anniversary, entered the German charts at #8.
