Ostrava in Flames 2026
The twelfth edition of the Ostrava in Flames metal festival features SOULFLY, KORPIKLAANI, BLOODBOUND, and other international metal acts in the iconic Dolní Vítkovice industrial area.
Korpiklaani are a folk metal band from Lahti, Finland, formed in 2003 when vocalist Jonne Järvelä renamed his earlier act Shaman - itself rooted in his solo folk project Shamaani Duo from 1993. The name translates roughly as 'the backwoods clan' in Finnish. Over two decades they have released twelve studio albums and built a reputation as one of the most active live acts in folk metal, blending fiddle, accordion and metal guitars into a sound that fills festivals worldwide.
In April 2024, Korpiklaani released their twelfth studio album Rankarumpu on the Nuclear Blast label - the fastest and most energetic record since their earlier recordings, according to frontman Jonne Järvelä.
In October 2024, a North American co-headlining tour with Ensiferum, Trollfest, and NiNi was announced, which took place from February to March 2025.
Korpiklaani performed the 'Folkfest Of The North' tour with Ensiferum in February and March 2025 across North America - a total of over 25 stops from Boston to Brooklyn.
For 2026, Korpiklaani have confirmed festival appearances, including at Vagos Metal Fest in Portugal in August 2026.
