About

Korpiklaani are a folk metal band from Lahti, Finland, formed in 2003 when vocalist Jonne Järvelä renamed his earlier act Shaman - itself rooted in his solo folk project Shamaani Duo from 1993. The name translates roughly as 'the backwoods clan' in Finnish. Over two decades they have released twelve studio albums and built a reputation as one of the most active live acts in folk metal, blending fiddle, accordion and metal guitars into a sound that fills festivals worldwide.
