Eluveitie
Swiss folk-metal band Eluveitie performs at the Euronics Sports Hall in Zlín.
Eluveitie is a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, founded in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. They blend Gothenburg-style melodic death metal with Celtic folk music, bringing hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, fiddle and tin whistles onto the metal stage alongside electric guitars. Their lyrics draw on Celtic mythology and are partly written in the extinct Gaulish language. Nine studio albums and relentless touring have made them one of the defining acts in the folk metal genre worldwide.
Eluveitie released their ninth studio album Ànv on April 25, 2025 through Nuclear Blast Records.
As special guests, the band joined Arch Enemy's European 'Blood Dynasty 2025 Tour' alongside Amorphis and Gatecreeper.
In January and February 2025, the band held their own headlining tour 'Ànv Rising - Europe Part I' with Infected Rain and Ad Infinitum as support bands.
In December 2024, the band released the single 'Premonition' as their first new music in two years.
In May 2024, the band recruited new violinist and hurdy-gurdy player Leu-Sophie Fischer following the departure of Annie Riediger and Nicole Ansperger.
