Karl-Heinz Raach

About

Karl-Heinz Raach (born 1959 in the Allgäu) is a German travel and landscape photographer based near Freiburg. He found his calling during a year-and-a-half trip through Canada after finishing school, and later studied ethnology and sociology in Freiburg and Montreal. His first book, Pictures from the Arctic, documented the Canadian Arctic and the cultural changes among the Inuit. He is a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie and the photo agency LAIF.
